The 2025 Artwork
Our event poster is more than just a design—it’s a time machine. Its sweeping curves and retro script whisk you back to the golden age of American road trips, when every mile held promise and every roadside diner beckoned with neon glow. Those stylized chrome details and neon-inspired lettering conjure memories of motor courts and jukebox melodies, inviting you to relive an era when the open highway was pure adventure.
La Plaza Park, the poster’s iconic gazebo silhouette stands as a beacon for neighbors and families to gather. That familiar countdown—“5 … 4 … 3 … 2 … 1”—before the motorcade kicks off isn’t just a design flourish; it’s an open invitation to share stories, strike up conversations, and celebrate the heart of our Inland Empire community.
Every hue on this poster has its own story. Electric cobalt blue mirrors the endless California sky and the hum of engines on Foothill Boulevard. Bold cherry red calls to mind tail lights glowing at dusk, while sunshine-yellow accents pay homage to autumn’s golden glow in the Cajon Pass. These vibrant shades don’t just catch the eye—they capture the pulse of a daylong celebration where every color tells a tale.
San Bernardino’s bond with Route 66 runs deep. When the Mother Road was fully paved in 1938, Fifth Street became the city’s Main Street of America, transforming San Bernardino into a crucial oasis for Dust Bowl migrants and eager vacationers alike. By the late 1940s, weary travelers found both refuge and revival here. In 1948, the McDonald brothers opened their pioneering fast-food spot just off Route 66, and a year later the Wigwam Motel rose beside the highway—its concrete teepees still standing as one of only two original motels of its kind.
Every neon curve and classic-car silhouette on our poster pays homage to that rich legacy. San Bernardino isn’t just a waypoint—it’s a destination brimming with history, community, and heart.
